The checks are not a final inspection; they are built into each stage, and the same discipline is applied to the waste our work produces.

How we control quality
At the writing stage
Content is checked against the source specifications and drawings. Anything the source does not answer is raised with your engineers rather than assumed.
At the translation stage
Every translation is reviewed by a second native-speaking linguist against the source, and checked against your glossary and translation memory so terminology stays consistent across every document and every year.
At the layout stage
A native speaker of each language checks the laid-out pages — line breaks, character rendering, text overflow, and image callouts. A file that reads correctly can still be wrong on the page.
At the printing stage
Files are preflighted before plating, and you approve a proof before the run begins. Colour, registration, and finishing are inspected during production.
At delivery
Quantity, revision level, and packing are verified against your order before despatch.
How we manage environmental impact
Printing and packaging produce waste by their nature. Our environmental work is aimed at the largest source of it — printing more than the customer will ever use.
Printing only what is needed
The most wasteful thing in documentation is a warehouse of obsolete manuals, printed in bulk for a model that changed. Our in-house digital printing and our warehousing service let clients print in smaller runs and release stock as they need it. Less capital tied up, less paper thrown away.
Fewer versions, less waste
Structured content and translation memory mean one change is made once and flows through every language. Fewer reprints, fewer scrapped batches.
Reviewed every year
Under our ISO 14001 system, we review the environmental aspects of our operations annually — identifying where our printing, packaging, and warehousing activities affect the environment, and setting targets against them. The review is documented, audited internally, and verified by Intertek.
Certifications and compliance
Certification is maintained through annual surveillance audits by Intertek, alongside our own internal audit programme, which covers every section of the company each year.
